  Upon arrival I was told that my appointment had been cancelled because my dentist didn't bother to show up, the receptionist claimed to have tried to have called me on a false number that I had never heard of. They then tried to get me to rebook for another day but this would not have been acceptable, instead I had to wait around in the area for an hour before I could be seen. When I was eventually seen I felt rushed through the entire process. When I expressed concerns about a poorly growing wisdom tooth that I wanted removed I was fobbed off with a prescription for antibiotics. Clearly this dentist is in complete disregard of the rising concerns regarding antibiotic resistant bacteria as one should not be prescribing these for a mild infection that would have shortly disappeared on its own, especially if the issue of the open gum pocket from the wisdom tooth had been addressed. The dentist then proceeded into a very rough and hurried process of scale and polish leaving my teeth and gums feeling very sensitive and irritated. I am aware that it is natural to feel some sensitivity but I could have been saved a lot of the discomfort at the time if the dentist had bothered to take the time and care to ensure this. Finally the dentist neglected to offer anything in regards to home dental care advice at the end of the appointment including omitting the notice or mention of obvious gum disease that is currently under treatment which would have a left an unknowing patient at risk of severe complications.
